A letter from the SHC committee with updates & plans during the current covid restrictions.

Dear Members and Friends,

As I’m sure you are all aware the latest announcements from the government has resulted in the cessation of all hockey related activity. We are actively engaged with England Hockey understanding the implications this has to our league hockey schedules whilst concurrently actively working to ensure that we can offer hockey to all as soon as possible.

It is too soon to be able to tell you exactly what that means, or provide some dates around this however there are options being explored around increased summer hockey initiatives as well as ensuring we have lots of social hockey in place as soon as we possibly can.

Off the pitch our social team are working really hard to put together some fantastic events for us - we have a Quiz scheduled for the 30th January so please do join us on Zoom to keep in touch and maybe win some fantastic prizes.

Our Junior and Youth managers are working on plans to keep the youngsters busy which includes some hockey fun, home tasks and social events. Our first online event (Sunday the 24th January) see’s Chairman and Coaches take on the children in a Zoom Version of ‘Are you smarter than a 10-year-old?’.

In other news, the Committee has begun working on the 2030 Development Plan, this is a really exciting time for Stone HC, we are making good progress with the merger implementation with the Rugby Club and we plan to provide a detailed update via a club Q&A session in early February which we will send details for in the next week or so. In the meantime, and in advance of that session if anyone has any questions in regards to Covid-19 implications or any other club matter please send them to us at: info@stonehockeyclub.co.uk

Thank you for your ongoing support.

The SHC Committee.
